This model is about a design model for the single effect evaporation powered by mechanical vapor compression for seawater desalination. Photovoltaic solar power has been connected to power on the mechanical vapor compressor and the pumps. The plant includes the following:
1-Single effect evaporation.
2-Mechanical vapor compression.
3-Distillate/Feed preheater (plate heat exchanger).
4-Brine/Feed preheater (Plate heat exchanger).
5-Photovoltaic power plant.
6-Exergy & Cost Analysis.
The system is in design mode. Som the users will be able to calculate the size, areas, flow rates, pressures, cost, etc...


**MatLab-SimuLink (64bit R2016a up to R2021a) should be used to run the model.
