This model is about solar thermal power for MSFbr desalination plant. Solar PTC is conencted to the MSFbr via Heat evaporator unit (BHX). Therminol-VP1 is used as a working fluid though the BHX and solar PTC. Water steam is used for MSF brine heater unit.
In this sub-Model:
1. User should specify the ambient temperature in degree Celsius.
2. Also plant productivity should be specified (Md, m3/day).
3. Outlet collector temperature, oC (max not exceeding above 400oC for HTO).
For PTC collector the design operating temperature shouldn't exceed above 400oC.
MSF-BR desalination plant. User should assign the following:
1-Sea water temperature oC.
2-Top brine temperature oC.
3-Brine blowdown temperature oC.
4-Feed seawter 1st splitter ratio.
5-Seawater and brine blowdown salinity ratios kg/kg.
6-Number of stages.
7-Tubes diameter for each section m.
8-Pumps efficiency 0.00.
**MatLab-SimuLink (64bit) should be used to run the model.
