This model is about Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. The model is created by the aid of artificial neural network via matlab/simulink toolbox. It is a design model, therefore, the user will be able to calculate the following:
1-Wind speed, m/s
2-Rotor diameter, m
3-Tower height, m
4-Initial cost, $
5-Number of wind turbines, #
6-Torque, N.m
7-Rotor speed, RPM
8-Power coefficient

Excel sheet of data (500 points) is available with the model contents, so the user can reverse the model if needed. The power range is from 0.2kW up to 50kW per unit. The user will be able to assign the total plant power to calculate the number of units.
